Experts tell us that 90% of all brain development occurs by the age of five. If we don't begin thinking about education in the early years, our children are at risk of falling behind by the time they start Kindergarten.

Parent helpers will start on Sept 13th. I will get you a schedule in the coming week.
We are still reviewing school behavior and procedures and will begin our Character Connections program this week. We will be talking about friendship.
Remember orders for T-shirts are due on the 31st. Please make your check out to Whitney Daniels for $7.00.
Our school is having SEPs this week, but Kindergarten does not meet because of our Kindergarten testing cycle that we have just finished.
Daily responsibilities are back packs, folders.
Remember folders do not come home on Fridays so that I can prepare them for the coming week.
Our Principal Mrs. Turner has turned our campus into a NO DOG ZONE. Many children are being frightened and we have some children with severe allergies. No Dogs in arms or even on leashes. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Names practice is improving. please remember to help your child write their name the Kindergarten way. For Ex. “HILLARY” is incorrect, but “Hillary” is correct. The only letter that is capital is the beginning. The rest are lowercase. This will be on their kindergarten exit testing.
I am sending Scholastic book orders home; they will be due on Friday. Make checks payable to Scholastic. Remember books make a wonderful reward. The dollar books also make great birthday presents for friend parties. Give the gift of love for books to your child while they are young.
No school on Sept 6th. Labor Day break.
Home work is due on or before Friday...Please use pencil. I received 13 Homework packets back this week. GOOD JOB thank you for your dedication in helping your child succeed. After all you are their first, and life long teacher. Please let me know anything I can do that will assist in their success. I LOVE MY KIDS!! Thank you for trusting me with your most prized possession. Mrs. Bonner ;)

I miss my mom. Her name was Mrs. Bonner, and she was a kindergarten teacher for 34 years. Missing her lead me to type her name into google, and doing so led me here. I love coincidence. Mrs. Bonner, teach on. It looks like you have a lot in common with my mom. She was a great teacher.
